Rare footage of sunshine in Manchester
Before I relocated to Guatemala, I worked at a small moving image agency. Taking advantage of a rare two weeks of glorious sunshine, we decided to challenge the old cliche of 'it's grim up north'. The majority of footage was recorded by myself (lead camera) as well as providing direction on concept and edit.
The film proved to be a viral success, with over 10,000 hits on YouTube (before we got stung for soundtrack issues) and was used by Visit Manchester, and screened by the BBC in Exchange Square for two weeks.
By then the weather had turned though!
